Hacks range from the mildly useful to the mind-bogglingly transformative. At the very least, a good hack should be something relatively simple that you can use to make a facet of your life that much easier.
We’ve scoured Reddit to find all kinds of interesting hacks that should make your life just a little bit simpler. Cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
1. Never struggle with a bracelet again.
Bracelets can be a hassle to fasten if you don’t have a second pair of hands to help. Or, as GrouchyManner suggests, you can simple bend a paperclip into an S-shape. Attach it to one end of the bracelet, hold onto it, and fasten with ease. Cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
2. Save freezer space while keeping stuff fresh.
A lot of freezer food comes in permeable bags inside big, bulky boxes. Ditch the bulk and protect food from freezer burn by putting it inside a ziplock bag. If you save the cooking instructions, you can throw out the original box altogether!
3. You don’t need a cheese grater to grate cheese.
Cheese graters are a hassle to wash, so unless you need finely-shredded cheese, why use them in the first place? Kanye WestBrook suggests using a vegetable peeler, which is just as effective with cheese as it is with veggies. Cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
4. For unwieldy cables, just add a TP roll.
It seems like every bathroom appliance comes attached to a long, awkward, tangly cord. Redditor EleJames says their girlfriend’s mom has been utilizing this simple hack for decades. It’s a great way to keep those unruly cords corralled.
