The heat of summer is mostly behind us, giving way to shorter days, cool nights, and changing leaves. That means that one of the best events of the year, Halloween, is just around the corner.
It’s gonna be great regardless based on candy selection alone, but if you want to make this an October to remember, try some of these: cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
1. Make pudding cups that much more awesome.
Rachel from Sprinkle Some Fun created these adorable pumpkin patch pudding cups to celebrate the season. Just take some pudding cups, adorn with cookie crumbs, candy and icing, and you’ve got an amazing seasonal treat. cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
2. An oldie but a goodie.
The head-in-a-jar prank delivers great shock value with minimal efforts. mikeosaurus from Instructables demonstrates how. Just get a printout of someone’s face, find an appropriately-sized jar, add nasty-looking water (using food coloring), and, ideally, a wig.
3. When it comes to dressing up, costumes can get expensive.
But why spend money, when you have everything you need at home? All you need is to hack some white paper for these origami claws by Instructable user TavinOrigami. They would be the perfect addition to some spooky Halloween makeup. cool stuff, cool stuff, cool stuff
4. For that witchy apothecary look.
Regular pill bottles transform into something else altogether with this creative hack from blogger Magia Mia. You can get as in-depth as you like, but the basics involve dabbing bottles with paint, then creating spooky lettering using a hot glue gun.
